Photo: Stake Play
Here is a cast photo of a Stake play which occurred before 1980. I'm thinking it might be from Auralia (I know that spelling is wrong), a play that was directed by Tom Bay.
Do you recognize anyone in the photo? What was the name of the play?

What a great photo! I recognize some people from the back two rows: From the left I see Brian Lake, Dale Lake, Tom Hughes, skip a couple - the brown/green shirt is Otto Merket.
Second row from the back: Liz Follett, skip one, Donna Dick (now Lloyd), move to the right to the first man, Bill Reed, perhaps Nan Hughes on the right. Those are the ones I am pretty sure about. After that, I have some guesses: Perhaps Marilyn & Kim Carlson, maybe Jo Christensen, perhaps Ted Cox. I wold love to know the other names. I bet some of the children, who are now grown up, are still around. I hope we get the information. It's a great picture to see. I moved here in 1980 and this was before we came.
Someone help us out with the rest of the names!

Oops - I just realized I wasn't seeing the whole picture. Vivian Ellertson is on the right end of the next-to-the-last row, and Nan Hughes is next to the end.
The bride on the left is Melanie Ellertson. The one on the right of Donna Dick I think is Joan Edwards. Then on her right is Sandra Garr. Marilyn Carlson, Leslie Carlson has her hand on the shoulder of Brandon Garr. The (older) one sitting down in the middle with the girl w/yellow dress is Cathy Shepherd. It was pretty easy to recognize most of these people because that is probably close to the last time I saw them. I moved away in 1982.

The lady in the maroon dress on the end is Jo Bay. The little boy with the hat on is Scott Burke, the boy behind him is David Cox, The little girl in the dress is Becky Carpenter (Rebecca Anderson)
I remember these tryouts. I would have had a part, but chose a campout instead...I did get to see it the last night though. This must have been really close to 1980, because Dave Cox was two years younger than me and I know he is tall... but he looks like he was about 6 or 7th grade putting me in 7 or 8th and about 1980'ish. My Grandma has worked with Tom Bay many a times through the years on many other projects and still talks about him!
Aurelia was presented May 10th - 12th 1979. The cast was (though not in the picture order) Jo Bay, Robbie Dixon, Brandon Garr, Jill Sheperd, Diane Mackay, David Cox, Becky Carpenter, Christine Pummell, Joanna Brooks, Scott Burke, Rebecca Brisk, Michelle Dick, Robbie Peck, Laura Terry, Marilyn Carlson, Christina Ramsey, Michael A. Park, Bill Reed, Karen Berry, Bonnie Young, Kim Carlson, Leslie Carlson, Kym Evans, Cathy Sheperd, Vickie MacArthur, Otto Merket, Nancy Kowallis, Morris Berry, Deborah Vroom, Greg Sheperd, Dana Dixon, Spencer Fitches, Tracey Moffitt, Karen Dick, Susan Allred, Melanie Ellertson, Nancy Rivers, Dan Merket, Bryan Lake and Sandra Garr with The Chorus of Virginia Garr, Carol Peck, Laura Wagoner, Nan Hughes, John Morehouse, Steve Graves, John Walker and Joseph Gates. WHEW! That was a lot. I knew that scrapbook would come in handy someday. Great memories and a lot of fun! Can you figure out who's who now?

I remember seeing this play! Alot of these good people where in my ward at that time. What a great picture. I see, Susan Allred, Jo and Tom Bay, Otto Merket, Carol Peck, Morris Berry, Brian Lake, Dale Lake, David Cox(lives in Northern California now)Diane Mackay (who lives in Alpheretta, Georgia now)All of whom where in my ward Cyp 2. Most of the others I see I knew in our Stake. I can't wait to see who shows up for this reunion!
The little girl in the lavendar dress seated third from left in first row is Joanna Brooks. I am so happy to have this picture!!
